Straight from the horse’s mouth: blog of a Horse Communicator

Horse communicator. Horse psychic. Horse intuitive. Many names are given to those with the ability to communicate with our equine friends. By speaking with the horse directly, these people are able to resolve behavioral and training issues, locate pain and discomfort, explain and describe to the horse what is being asked, and voice his or her feelings back to the owner. Working with a horse communicator allows both horse and person to discuss and negotiate solutions for a better partnership.

I prefer the term “equine intuitive” or “equine communicator,” as these lack the stigma and new age skepticism that “horse psychic” evokes. No matter the label, the meaning is quite clear: these people profess to empathically communicate with horses. I am one of “these people,” and I have established this blog to provide answers to the inevitable questions my vocation inspires.

I am also by nature a skeptic, and intend to clarify the process of equine communication and debunk many of the misguided but well intentioned theories surrounding the technique. I will provide tips and recommendations on better understanding what your horse may be saying – a valued and admired trait that many long time horsemen seem to intrinsically develop.

Most importantly, I will relay stories and anecdotes from my conversations with horses and their people to illustrate common problems and the often simple solutions that resolved them. I will include advice and suggestions that I give to my clients that will aid in strengthening the relationships with your own horses. Some tales will make you laugh out loud. Others might draw tears. All will undoubtedly challenge you to reconsider how you view horses, and hopefully raise your estimation of their intelligence and understanding of the world we share.

Bookmark this page and check back frequently for updates. Until then, kick back in your chair and enjoy this equine communicator’s blog. These tales are straight from the horse’s mouth.
